Connecting your StoryflowPad
to the internet
Choose your preferred connection method below (LAN Cable or Wi-Fi) and follow these quick steps to get online.
Option 1: Wired Connection (LAN)
Recommended: If available, a wired connection is preferred for maximum stability and speed.
Requirements: A LAN cable and an open LAN port.
1. Plug in the Cable:
Connect one end of the LAN cable to your storyflowpad and the other end into an open LAN wall socket or outlet.
2. Restart:
Restart your storyflowpad to activate the connection.
Option 2: Wireless Connection (Wi-Fi)
Requirements: A smartphone, tablet, or laptop to complete the setup.
1. Open Wi-Fi Settings:
On your phone, tablet, or laptop, open your Wi-Fi settings.
2. Select “Trihow Setup”:
Look for Trihow Setup in the list of available networks and connect to it.
3. Enter Wi-Fi Details:
Input your local Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) and Password, then confirm.
4. Restart:
Restart your storyflowpad to complete the configuration.
No Captive Portals Supported
If you choose Wi-Fi as your internet connection, please ensure it does not require a Captive Portal (e.g., landing pages where you must accept terms, log in via a browser, or enter guest room details).
Why? Our content players run their own setup process, which is incompatible with captive portal networks.
Requirement: The Wi-Fi network must use standard WPA/WPA2/WPA3 authentication (a traditional Wi-Fi name and password/passphrase). Captive portal networks are not supported.
